Progress on the Nursery

First of all, I finished all of the artwork I was painting.  Here are the last 2:
That said, I've been rather busy with all kinds of projects to get the nursery looking its best.  I finally got the materials for curtains, which I completed the same day I went to the store - that's a feat in itself.  Then, while I had the machine out, I made a Peter Rabbit blanket out of a panel of fabric I had and some yellow flannel.
A friend of mine (also the mother of twins) gave me some things that she was getting rid of, so I scored a changing table, 2 bouncy seats and a bunch of other things.  I've had fun rearranging the nursery to accommodate the additional items.  =)  Here's how it looks now:
It's lots of fun, but a bit exhausting!  Exciting times are coming, though!!

More Artwork

I was able to find my paintbrushes!  That made the next batch of artwork MUCH easier this time around.  Here are the finished products!
I am very pleased with how they have turned out.  Once I got started, I couldn't stop!  I was originally only going to do about 4 of them, but will have 9 by the time I'm done.  =)  Oh, well.  They are so cute, it's hard to resist.

Artwork for Nursery

Last night, I decided I wanted to get going on the artwork for the walls of the nursery.  Since deciding upon the theme of Peter Rabbit/ Beatrix Potter, I went to the bookshelf and grabbed the story for inspiration.  I drew several sketches with pencil, then got to work with my trusty water color pencils.
After getting the color on one of the sketches, I searched for my paint brushes.  Of course, they were nowhere to be found!  So, I decided to improvise a bit.  I dipped my pinky finger into the water, and started working at the picture.  It actually was looking pretty good!  I was pleasantly surprised.  So, I finished the picture that way, went over the drawing with a heavier pencil, and called it good.  I think I will wait to finish the others until I locate my brushes, but I was pleased with this one, anyway.
One less piece I have to worry about!  Now, about those 5 others...  =)

Blog entry

To help supplement my cloth diaper needs, I decided to write as a guest blogger for a company called Diaper Junction.  They have an entire blog devoted to cloth diapers, and since that is the route I've decided to go, I thought, "Why not?".

Here is the link to my blog entry, called Preparing for Two Cloth Bundles of Joy.

I was so excited, because this entry gave me points on their website, which I can use toward the purchase of cloth diapers!  This makes me very happy!
